The 8th Annual Alamosa Christmas Light Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. down Main Street in Alamosa. With over 30 floats and 2,500 people downtown, it is an event not to be missed! The judges booth will be set up in front of The San Luis Valley Brewing Co, with announcements and festive Christmas music. Blessed Brews will be parked across the street for fun festive hot chocolate and coffee. The event is sponsored by The Alamosa Round-UP Rodeo and sponsors. The 2nd Annual Round-UP Rudolph Run (5K run and 2K walk) will start at 11 a.m. Dec. 22 in Cole Park, Alamosa. Folks are welcome to dress up in their favorite Christmas costume or Ugly Christmas Sweater. This year's Rudolph Run, "I ran as a Gift," with the help of some sponsors will be donating proceeds to gifts to children in the hospital over Christmas and sending home local newborns in Christmas stockings and cute little caps.
